Flex pads are ideal if you need the boot to fit tighter, or your horse's sole or frog needs more stimulation to become stronger. They are useful if your horse needs extra protection on hard
rocky ground, or you're rehabilitating after founder, abscess, white line disease or thin sole.
The black Kevlar pads are sold as a pair, are 6mm thick and have a Kevlar material on the top side of the pad to provide additional protection for the hooves and to protect the pad against
the pressure of the hoof. The Kevlar material is also slightly sticky, which helps the boots stay on better. The pad will mould into the sole and the inside of the Flex Boot. They stay on very well and help stimulate the sole, frog and back of the foot, therefore strengthening the hoof every step of the way.
Flex pads also make the boots more durable. Note that the Flex Kevlar pads absorb water into them, therefore they are only recommended to be used in dry conditions.
Flex pads are not included in the standard Flex Boot set when you purchase a boot.
